Warranty Coverage

Mobility scooters and electric wheelchairs supplied by MobilityScooters.co.za carry a
limited warranty period of 2 years, unless otherwise specified by the manufacturer.

Warranty support relates to issues arising during normal intended use of the equipment and is subject to technical
inspection and verification.

Extended warranty options may be available. Please consult your sales agent for details.

Battery Warranty

Batteries are consumable components and their lifespan depends heavily on usage patterns, charging practices and
environmental conditions.

Battery performance may be influenced by:

  • charging habits
  • rider weight
  • terrain conditions
  • storage practices
  • operating environment

Battery deterioration resulting from improper charging, deep discharge, long-term storage without charging, water
exposure or the use of non-approved chargers is not covered.

Owner Responsibilities

Powered mobility equipment requires routine care and maintenance.

Owners are responsible for ensuring that their equipment is properly maintained, including:

  • maintaining tyre pressure
  • charging batteries correctly
  • ensuring electrical connections remain secure
  • keeping bolts and fittings properly tightened
  • maintaining the overall operating condition of the equipment

Failure to perform reasonable maintenance may affect warranty support.

Product Performance

Mobility equipment operates according to manufacturer specifications under controlled conditions.

Actual performance may vary depending on factors such as:

  • rider weight
  • terrain and surface conditions
  • gradients or inclines
  • tyre pressure
  • battery charge level
  • weather conditions and operating environment

Variations in performance under real-world conditions do not indicate a product fault.

Product Suitability

Customers are responsible for ensuring that the mobility equipment selected is appropriate for their personal
mobility needs and operating environment prior to purchase.

MobilityScooters.co.za provides product specifications and guidance to assist customers in selecting suitable
equipment.

Suitability concerns relating to terrain conditions, driveway gradients, travel range expectations, transport
compatibility or personal comfort preferences do not constitute product faults.

Reporting Product Concerns

Customers must notify MobilityScooters.co.za of any concerns regarding their equipment
within 7 days of delivery or collection.

Notification must be submitted in writing. Acceptable written communication includes:

  • email
  • WhatsApp message
  • support ticket submitted through our website

Verbal communication will not be considered sufficient notification.

Concerns raised after the 7-day notification period will be handled through the service and
warranty process.

Service & Warranty Procedure

Equipment reported as faulty must be returned for technical inspection and assessment.

Where reasonably possible, customers are required to return the equipment to an authorised service location.
